Event Producer and Backstory

The Casino Night first came into existence in 2008 when event producer, Shonna Jordan wanted to do a fundraiser for a local non-profit. Having just been to Vegas, she got the idea to do a casino-themed event.

After producing the event for 3 consecutive years with much success, because she became heavily involved in another large event, Shonna had to put The Casino Night on hold. Now, she decided, it’s time to revive it.

Why now? Because she lost her little dog, Skittles in March of 2016 and later that year was introduced to a local animal rescue that specializes in small breeds like her little Skittles (who was what she refers to as a “terrihuahua”). She fell in love with the organization called Forgotten Paws and loves that they are very local – based in San Marcos. Since she can’t adopt or foster quite yet, she thought making Forgotten Paws the non-profit beneficiary of an event would be a great way to give back.

So, here it is! Technically this is the fourth “edition” of the event, but since it’s been 7 years, we’re just going with the first annual.

About the Event

Stay “In the Know”!

This event will benefit Forgotten Paws Animal Rescue based in San Marcos, CA.

Your participation in and support of this event will help keep animals from being euthanized or sold to be rendered as processed dog food as well as help to cover expenses for foster care until the fur babies are adopted and placed into their “fur-ever” homes.
